Class Descriptions

Intro to Pole

Come learn the basics of pole! Learn basic spins, floorwork, hand positioning, and how to move around the pole in this class, all while building upperbody and core strength. Simple transitions between skills will be learned. We recommend this class be taken a minimum of 3-6 times before advancing. A sample of some of the things you will learn can be seen here.

Pole Level 1

Once you have mastered the skills in the intro class, you will start to make these moves more advanced and add variety to them. You will add to the spins you already know and start learning basic climbing technique and basic body grips. You will also start putting skills you know together in simple flows and routines. In these routines, you will begin adding your own flare to the moves you have been taught. Through the skills taught in this class, you will being developing the strength and body awareness to go upside down! Basic spin pole will be instroduced. Instructor Approval needed. Here is an example of some of the skills taught in Level 1.

Pole Level 2

In this class, you will learn even more complex and combined spins. You will also start to learn tricks up on the pole and begin basic inversions on the pole. You will learn to string moves together in basic flows, including some on the pole. Moves will incorporate both static and spin pole. Instructor Approval needed. Here is an example of a Level 2 routine.

Pole Level 3

In this class, you will start to learn more complex inversions and holds. You will also be inverting in the air in this level. There will be more freedom to begin creating your own combos and flows with moves you are taught. Instructor Approval needed. Here is an example of a Level 3 routine.

Pole Level 4

In this class, you will begin using more flexibility and strength for complex and varied moves. Skills will become more individualized to the students strengths. Drops, dynamic skills, and more fluid transitions between tricks will be taught. Instructor Approval needed. Here is an example of a Level 4 routine.

Spin Pole Fluidity

This class will focus exclusively on spin pole. You will work on entrances and exits from the pole, as well as building combinations that flow efortlessly around it. A strong invert and instructor approval is required for this class.

Pole Dance Level 1

Come and learn how to dance with the pole! You will be taught a short choreographed routine where you will learn to string spins and floorwork together fluidly and effortlessly. This class is open to any student who has completed intro to pole Here is an example of a Pole Dance Level 1 routine.

Mystique Flow

Put on your heels and come explore the sensual side of pole. In this class, you will learn floor work, technique, and low flow that will be incorporated into choreography and freestyle while highlighting fluidity, sensuality, and overall sexiness. Come dressed as you’d like—heels and knee pads are strongly encouraged. However, socks are welcome as well if you are not ready for heels yet! This class is open to anyone who has completed intro to pole.

Pole Fluidity

In this flow-based class, you will explore blending movement and technique together. This class will work through transitions of floorwork, spins, and low-pole moves to build musicality and fluidity. Come dressed prepared to use typical contact points with the pole—knee pads are strongly encouraged. This class is open to anyone who has completed intro to pole.

Pole Werk

Take your heel work up a notch! Learn heel choreography that is inspired by Russian Exotic style pole. Choreography will include spins, drops, and lots of dynamic low flow around the base of the pole. Students in this class should be comfortable with basic heel work, have a wide vocabulary of spins, and be comfortable with basic pole holds.

Intro to Aerials

This class will teach you the basics of both aerial silks, trapeze, and lyra. Learn basic terminology and skills. The intro class will focus mostly on core strength. We will start with various climbs and progress into different holds and inversions. We recommend taking this class a minimum of 3-6 times before progressing

Lyra/Trapeze Level 1

Lyra (Aerial hoop) and trapeze classes include a warm up, stretch and strength tips, and conditioning. In this class you will learn various ways to mount and dismount. You will also learn different hangs, poses, and transitions both above and below the bar. The skills to be learned on these are endless. This class is open to any student who has completed Intro to Aerials.

Lyra/Trapeze Level 2

This class will build on material learned in Level 1 for more complex moves and transitions. It will also start to introduce dynamic movement on the trapeze and lyra. Here is an example of a Level 2/3 Lyra routine.

Aerial Silks Level 1

Aerial Silks classes include a warm-up, stretch and strength and various conditioning skills. In this class, we will build on the skills learned in the intro to aerials class. You will be introduced to different poses and wraps higher in the air while building a strong foundation. This is a perfect way to get in a great workout and have fun at the same time! This class is open to any student who has completed Intro to Aerials.

Aerial Silks Level 2

This class will start to do basic moves aerially, as well as learn to use them to flow into other moves. Drops will be introduced as well. Instructor approval is required

Aerial Silks Level 3

This class will start to combine skills and move in more complex pathways. This class will utilize more fabric theory to create transitions through the fabric. Drops and complex (stacked) drops will be introduced.

Aerial Sling Level 1

Aerial Sling used a single loop of fabric, rather than two indivual strands. This class will explore shapes and transitions, as well as mounting and dismounting the sling. The possibilities are endless!

Aerial Sling Level 2

This class will start to combine skills and use them higher up on the sling. Students will move through a range of skills, flows, and drops to create an endless possibility of combos!

Fabric Flow

This class introduces students to choreography in the air! The class will utilize aerial fabric to create routines done to music that focus on fluidity on the apparatus. This is open to students in Level 2 and up. Instructor approval is needed for this class.

Open Play

This is unstructured time for you to practice what you have learned or work on routines. This includes all aerials and pole work. No instruction will be given. A staff member will be present, but you are only allowed to do skills that you are comfortable doing without a spotter.

Flexibility

Improve your flexibility today! Flexibility is important to keep your body and joints and healthy for the demands of any sport, including aerial work. Use this class to relax the tension out of your body or gain the flexibility for high level moves. The stretches done in this class can be modified to any flexibility level. This class is open to anyone, whether or not they participate in any pole or aerial classes.

Pole/Aerial Conditioning

Come to build strength for your next move or to just get in shape! We will work on strengthing the entire body. You must have completed intro to pole or intro to aerials to participate in this class.
